Overcoming Adversity in Everyday Life...

Fear, anxiety, doubt, & failure are all parts of life. Necessary parts of life to learn and grow. Spring is in the air, a time of regrowth and change. Pushing through the cold and dreariness of Winter to get to flowers and sunshine is a metaphor for our lives. We all have something to push through, to overcome, to get back up and try again. There are always going to be those days when you just don't feel like it! Work , gym, dealing with a personal struggle, a loss, or just being an adult are struggles we face on a day to day basis. But its those days when you really want to say no but you put on your big girl pants and do it anyway that you grow stronger. The gym is a perfect example of how struggles prepare us for greater things. Lifting weights, holding planks, running a mile , holding a strength pose in a yoga class are all things that take practice , focus, consistency, motivation and most importantly a reason. The reason you push through the struggles is what really counts. All the days and weeks it took going to your fitness classes to practice that new pose, all the days it would have been easy to sleep an hour later, to watch a movie, to just not go at all, that's the journey, the pursuit of the goal. The actual pose you mastered or the heavier weight you lifted isn't where you grow, its in the struggle, the fact that you didn't give up on your goals is where you will gain strength ...

Keep pushing everyday! I speak from experience when I write this post! So many days I don't feel like it , but everyday I do feel like I am called to a higher purpose. To inspire and motivate many. Sometimes its hard knowing so many people look to you for motivation, and some days I honestly give everyone around me everything I have and feel like I have nothing left. On those days, I put time aside for me to search deeper for my true purpose and look to people that inspire me and pray for the universe to keep letting me motivate people with a renewed energy. Everyone needs someone or something to mentor or coach them. A person, a spiritual god or energy , a community of positivity are all things to push us past our fears, our doubts, our road blocks in life. I love the quote pictured above because it came from my daily inspirational calender. I read it when I walked into the studio at 5am and didn't think about it much at that moment, but when I left the studio and listened to one of my fave podcasts reinforce this message, I knew I was meant to write this blog post today!

To anyone who reads this and feels inspired, please like it and share it on your FB account or with someone who may need a little boost today! Happy Wednesday!
